This past Saturday, Team Pamoja took the greenbelt by storm for the work of Expansion International in Kenya. Locals and even friends from out of state came together to make an impact by participating in the Famous Idaho Potato Half-Marathon hosted by the YMCA.
The team gathered for a pre-race dinner of pasta and prayer Friday night, then woke up bright and early Saturday to complete 13.1 miles as promised to friends and family who donated to each participant. After training, fundraising, and crossing the finish line, Team Pamoja raised a grand total of $15,801 to help their friends in Kenya! Way to go, Team Pamoja!
We celebrate each and every participant for their investment of time, training, and spreading the word about the good work of Expansion with friends and family. We also want to thank our fantastic business sponsors, D1 Training, ICCU, ECS Boise, and Eagle Physical Therapy! Together, they made a difference in many people’s lives in Kenya.
