God is good! We have come such a long way since the start of the Kieni Resettlement Project. Last year at this time, we had just purchased the new land in Subukia and Bahati, established a construction manager position, and the workers were just starting to learn about the brick-making process.
Today, there are 50 completed homes in Subukia, most equipped with gutters and rain barrels to help with water collection. As well, a new church is being built and should be completed next month.
We have moved operations from Subukia to Bahati where we have secured and established a center for brick making. Brick production will begin in January. We are so excited to see the progress that has been made in Subukia this last year and can’t wait to see the community of Bahati begin to take shape.
