Would You like to Connect with a Family in Kenya?

What it’s all about

We’d like to invite you to consider taking part in Expansion International’s Connect a Family Program. This program connects families and individuals in the U.S. with a specific Kenyan family which had formerly been internally displaced in their own country. It enables you to personally impact them by providing them with the resources and training they need to build their new home. Because of this program, more than 35 Kenyan families have been sponsored and are now able to build their homes. However, there are around a hundred families still in waiting.

How to be a part

The cost to help a family build their home is $3,900. However, you do not have to come up with the whole amount at one time. Donations can be made up until October 31, 2015. If you can personally become a sponsor or if you would like to join together with others to sponsor a family (relatives, friends, Sunday school class, youth group etc.) contact us at the email of phone number below to choose the family in Kenya you want to connect with. If you don’t live in the Boise area, you can still participate. We can easily send you information on available families or we can choose one for you.

What you will receive when you become a partner

When you become a sponsor, you’ll receive an 8×10 family portrait and an information packet regarding the family and how to give. You’ll also be given the chance to write to the family to offer encouragement as they build their home. At the end of the project, you’ll receive a photo of the family with their new house. You will also receive the satisfaction of knowing you made a real difference in the lives of a family in Kenya.
